Note priority - On a synthesizer, note priority determines how the instrument's polyphony will be divided among incoming notes when there are more notes being played than the synthesizer has voices. There are four kinds of note priorities that are commonly used: last note, first note, highest note, and lowest note.
Charge card - A charge card is similar to a credit card, except that the charges made to it must be paid-off each month, rather than having revolving credit which carries a balance forward. Many people are not aware of this distinction however, and often interchangeably use "charge card" to describe any card which can be used as payment, or "credit card" for any credit or charge card.
Lace card - A lace card is a punch card with all holes punched (also called a whoopee card, ventilator card or IBM doily). Card readers tended to jam when they got to one of these, as the resulting card had too little structural strength to avoid buckling inside the mechanism.
